In Madhya Pradesh Shakti Mahila Sangh (SMS) Bahu-Uddeshiya Sahkari Samiti is a well-known MFI rendering microfinance services. But SMS has certain limitations, especially since we are confined to doing business only within a limited geography. With a vision to serve more customers in newer geographies with flexible products and services microfinance operations were started in 2020 through Sai Shakti Mahila Technical & Development Services, Majholi (SSMS) which was promoted by Shakti Mahila Sangh Bahu-Uddeshiya Sahkari Samiti in the year 2013 as a not-for-profit Section 8 Company for mostly non-profit activities. However, due to the need of the hour, we started financial inclusion portfolio under this entity.
Though this current annual report is for 2021-2022, still with great joy I would like to inform you that we have already started 5 branches and our partnership with BI and PB have already been finalized. We have availed term loans from both the nationalized banks to the tune of Rs. 5 crores each. We are expecting to close the current financial year (2022-2023 with an AUM of Rs. 15 crores. Our partnership for BC with a few clients are in pipeline.
